iHeartMedia has named Kayla Thomas as the new night host at CHR “Z100” WHTZ New York, with the 2026 Gracie Award winner joining the station beginning July 27.
Thomas will be heard weekdays from 6-10pm. She arrives from sister station KIIS-FM Los Angeles (102.7), where she has hosted late nights since 2022.
“I’m thrilled to join Z100 as the new night personality. Being on Z100 has been a dream of mine since I started in radio,” Thomas said. “I’m incredibly grateful to Thea Mitchem and Mark Adams for believing in me and this opportunity. As someone who grew up on the East Coast, coming home makes this moment even more special, and I can’t wait to connect with listeners every night and be part of what makes Z100 so iconic.”
Thomas launched her radio career as an intern in Roanoke, VA, before moving to WPST Trenton, NJ, where she hosted the syndicated “PopCrush Nights” for Townsquare Media. During her tenure, the program expanded to more than 50 affiliates, becoming one of the country’s largest syndicated CHR nighttime shows.
In addition to her work at KIIS-FM, Thomas has served as a host for Ultra Music Festival and has interviewed numerous music stars, including Adele, BTS, Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus and Gwen Stefani. Earlier this year, she was honored with a Gracie Award.
“Kayla is an extraordinarily talented personality both behind the mic and on camera, curates a dynamic social media presence, and possesses boundless enthusiasm and passion,” Program Director and iHeartMedia Vice President of CHR Programming Mark Adams said. “I’m excited to have her join our team at iHeartMedia New York and know she’ll be a fantastic addition to Z100.”
She succeeds Josh Martinez in nights at “Z100.”
