Bruce Dickinson arrived at Sweden Rock Festival in spectacular style on Thursday (4th June) ahead of Iron Maiden’s headline set.

The heavy metal legend, airline pilot, entrepreneur, competitive fencer, brewmaster, author, broadcaster and award-nominated speaker cruised around the Sweden Rock Festival site in Solvesborg while sitting atop a tank.

Clearing enjoying himself, Bruce was beaming as he proudly clutched the battered Union Jack he uses for ‘The Trooper’ performance and a Swedish flag.

Sharing a viral video of Bruce’s arrival, Sweden Rock Festival wrote: ‘Just Bruce Dickinson cruising through Sweden Rock in a tank. ⚔️’

Bruce Dickinson previously drove a T-34 Tank, used by the Soviet army in World War II, as part of a History Channel documentary in the early 2000s.

Iron Maiden’s ‘A Matter of Life’ album cover from 2006 features a skeletal Eddie riding atop a tank while driving through a desolate, war-torn landscape with his comrades.

A few hours after Bruce Dickinson’s tank escapades, Iron Maiden topped the bill at Sweden Rock Festival, the sixth show of the 2026 leg of the Run for Your Lives World Tour.
