Going into the ceremony, which featured performances by Cat Burns and AURORA, the most-nominated shows included Adolescence, Amandaland, The Celebrity Traitors and A Thousand Blows, all vying to win big on the night.

It was a clean Adolescence sweep, with Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper and Christine Tremarco taking home acting gongs and the series winning for Limited Drama. This is a record-breaker for the BAFTA Television Awards.

Elsewhere, Amandaland won Scripted Comedy, while EastEnders has taken home the Soap award, beating Casualty and Coronation Street.

The memorable moment award was the only one open to a public vote, with The Celebrity Traitors reigning supreme.
