The live ITV show was filled with blunders as the hosts and judges became concerned.
The Britain’s Got Talent 2026 live final really was explosive on Saturday evening as a number of things “went wrong”. Geordie presenters Ant and Dec were at the helm of the show, as judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI took to the judging panel one more time.
Together, they welcomed the 10 hopeful acts to the ITV stage for a final time. The line up included Matty Juniosa, Anastasiia and Salsa, LMA, Fabian Fox, Liwei Yang, Ted Hill, Sonny Green, Rafferty Coope, Celestial and The Hawkstone Farmers Choir. They all hoped to bag themselves the £250,000 cash prize along with a place in the Royal Variety Performance. But of course, live TV never goes without a hitch.

The first act of the night, Liwei Yang, was delayed taking to the stage. The fire juggler previously vowed to “set the final on fire” as Ant and Dec revealed to audiences that the stage hadn’t finished being prepped yet and they were still waiting for something.
“We need the fire extinguishers!” joked Dec. When she got on stage, Liwei was lifted into the air by her husband as she threw a table that had been set alight in the air with her feet.
KSI said: “That was the scariest act I’ve ever seen”. Meanwhile, Simon was left terrified as he said: “I thought you were on fire!”
Then, just a few acts later, another mishap happened live on stage. During magician Fabian Fox’s performance, the Austrian’s prop box that he was locked in had its hinges blown off.
It hung awkwardly suspended in the air as sparks flew off the box as it burst open. Soon enough though, he appeared by the stage and confirmed that he was ok.
At the end of the performance, KSI, who had his jaw on the floor, asked: “Why did that explode? It didn’t need to explode…”
Elsewhere, fans were fuming that this year’s final didn’t seem to have a wildcard act included. In previous years, the judges have voted to bring one act back – but there was no mention of it.
