BRIT Awards confirm major UK streaming change for 2026

The 2026 BRIT Awards has announced a major change in regards to its UK streaming home, with viewers now being able to catch the annual awards ceremony on ITV’s YouTube channel for the very first time

Set to air on Saturday 28 February, UK audiences will be able to watch the show live on ITV1 and ITVX from 8.15pm.

Per a press release, the global digital simulcast will follow on ITV’s YouTube channel from 8.45pm, and international viewers can watch the action live on The BRITs’ YouTube channel.

Hosted by comedian and actor Jack Whitehall, this year’s ceremony will take place at Manchester’s Co-op Live, with Olivia Dean, Lola Young and Sam Fender among the nominees across the various categories.

Among the confirmed performers for the evening are the vocalists behind the fictional band HUNTR/X from the Netflix hit KPop Demon Hunters, whose award-winning song ‘Golden’ topped the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks.

Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment at ITV, said in a statement: “Our longstanding partnership with The BRITs enters an exciting new chapter this year as the show heads to Manchester.

“We are committed to giving audiences more of what they love, which is why – for the first time ever – UK fans can join the celebration across ITV1, ITVX and ITV’s YouTube, giving viewers total flexibility in how they choose to experience the spectacle of the biggest night in music.

“From show-stopping performances to the instant viral highlights, plus with exclusive archives and real-time highlights available to enjoy on ITVX, ITV remains the definitive home for the BRITs, bringing the magic of the night into the nation’s living rooms and onto their devices.”
