Although the biggest night in fashion has seen megastars like Beyoncé and Zendaya hit the iconic red steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, even some of the biggest celebs have yet to make their debut.
When it comes to the Friends alum’s attendance at the Met Gala—which this year takes place on May 4—she made it clear it’s definitely a personal preference.
“It overwhelms me,” Jennifer admitted to Glamour in September. “It’s the getting ready, the putting on the dress. I’m a ‘jeans and flip-flops and tank top’ kind of girl.”
“I love dressing up too, but for me it’s a mental game of… ‘Let’s get dressed up, put on a fancy dress, makeup, get your hair all ‘purdy’ and go sit in a big room with your peers,'” she continued. “Everyone’s there to celebrate each other and have some fun, but I get nervous.”
While Zendaya has proven just how euphoric her looks are at the event, her rumored husband Tom Holland hasn’t taken a step in the Met Gala spotlight.
Meanwhile, Busy Phillips is still waiting for her time to attend the gala. After the 2019 event, the Dawson’s Creek alum playfully revealed that she has yet to receive an invitation.
“Didn’t go to the Met Ball because EVERYTHING I DO IS CAMP,” she quipped on Instagram, referring to the 2019 theme Camp: Notes on Fashion. “(Also I wasn’t invited).”
Other celebs who haven’t made their debut just yet include Ryan Gosling, Adele, Jane Fonda and more. Keep reading for a closer look at who else hasn’t accepted—or hasn’t received—the exclusive invite.
