And celebrating with the rest of the nation was Harry Styles, who was filmed going wild backstage at Wembley after England sealed the win on Wednesday night.
The As It Was singer was preparing to take to the stage for the tenth of his 12 sold-out Wembley shows on his Together Together tour, but football came first for a few moments.
As England finally got over the line thanks to Harry Kane’s two late goals, Styles erupted with joy.
He could be seen punching the air as fans screamed.
The 32-year-old was seen launching himself into a friend’s arms with a huge grin across his face, before letting out an emphatic: “YEAH!”
Elsewhere, fans across the country erupted in celebration as pints flew and shirts came off when Harry Kane sealed the victory in the second half.
Once the celebrations were over though, it was back to business for Styles.

Later in the show, Styles swapped his laid-back white T-shirt and dark shorts for his signature tour look, stepping out in a smart purple button-up shirt, complete with a tie and his trademark high-waisted trousers.
The jubilant scenes come just days after the singer sparked concern among fans during Friday night’s Wembley show after appearing to choke on water on stage.
In a clip shared on TikTok, Styles could be seen attempting his famous “whale” water spray before suddenly coughing and stumbling.
He briefly fell to the floor, but was quickly back on his feet, much to the relief of fans.
Styles’ final show at Wembley will be Saturday, July 4, after a record-breaking stint at the venue.
