Olivia Rodrigo has earned her third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” bows atop the chart.

The album, which was released on June 12, enters at the chart summit with 485,000 equivalent album units, marking her largest week ever and the biggest for any album by a soloist this year. Her third record got a boost from its 15 physical variants, while vinyl purchases accounted for 164,000 units, making it her biggest week for the format and the largest week of 2026 by a woman.

Rodrigo previously scored No. 1s with her debut album “Sour” in 2021 and its follow-up “Guts” in 2023. “Sour” entered the chart with 295,000 equivalent album units, while “Guts” amassed 302,000 equivalent album units two years later.

In the run-up to the release of “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” Rodrigo released the chart-topping “Drop Dead” and a second single “The Cure,” which peaked at No. 5. She is currently ramping up to her massive international “Unraveled” tour, which kicks off in Hartford, CT on September 25 and makes its way through North America before picking back up in Europe in 2027.

Variety’s Chris Willman praised “You Seem Pretty Sad” for Rodrigo’s storytelling and sincerity: “Her ability to explore the full arc of a relationship this well — complete with a bit of foreshadowing in the more cheerful numbers — is still more proof of what a serious talent she is, above and beyond her angelic vocal stacking and perfectly pretty snarl.”

“You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” is the only album to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 this week. It unseats Drake’s “Iceman” from the top spot after four weeks, pushing it back to No. 2. Ella Langley’s “Dandelion” dips to No. 3, followed by Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” and Noah Kahan’s “The Great Divide.”

Rounding out positions six through 10 are Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” Jackson’s “Number Ones,” Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time,” Olivia Dean’s “The Art of Loving” and BTS’ “Arirang.”
