Madonna has added yet another historic milestone to one of pop music’s greatest careers. The global icon has officially reached the Billboard Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart for the first time ever, proving once again that her influence remains powerful after more than four decades in music.

Her latest single, I Feel So Free, debuted at No. 12 on this week’s Billboard Hot Dance/Pop Songs ranking. The chart, which launched in January 2025, blends the biggest dance and pop crossover hits in the United States. Although the ranking is still new, many fans believe Madonna would have dominated it years ago if it had existed earlier.

The strong debut arrives as anticipation builds for her upcoming project, Confessions II, widely expected to continue the electronic-pop sound that helped define her legendary career. With the release of I Feel So Free, Madonna once again shows why she remains one of the most adaptable stars in entertainment history.

Only two songs entered the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart this week. Rising singer Adela claimed No. 11 with KGB, narrowly placing ahead of Madonna’s new hit. Still, both tracks missed the top 10 by just one spot, signaling strong momentum in the weeks ahead.

The chart itself continues to be led largely by female artists. In fact, women dominate most positions this week, highlighting the growing power of female voices in dance-pop music. Harry Styles appears at No. 9 with Aperture, while Bebe Rexha and Faithless land at No. 14 with New Religion.

Madonna’s latest success has also been fueled by strong digital sales. I Feel So Free debuted inside the top 10 on Billboard’s Dance Digital Song Sales chart, giving her another major win in the genre. The song also opened at No. 6 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart, showing impressive demand from listeners.

That performance gives Madonna her thirteenth appearance on the Digital Song Sales ranking and her fifth top 10 entry there. These numbers prove that her fan base remains highly engaged, while younger audiences continue to discover her catalog.

Meanwhile, the track also entered the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart at No. 14, giving the single early radio momentum. As airplay grows, industry watchers expect the song to rise further across multiple Billboard lists.

Interestingly, I Feel So Free did not appear on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart this week. However, Madonna’s legacy still made an impact there. A fresh reworking of her classic anthem Like a Prayer by Josh Fawaz debuted at No. 11, showing the lasting power of her music across generations.

From reinventing pop culture in the 1980s to charting in 2026, Madonna continues to prove that true icons never fade. Every new release reminds the world why she remains one of the most important artists in modern music.
