The singer-songwriter shared the update with fans during the opening night of the North American leg of his LOOP tour in Glendale, Arizona, on Saturday
After performing a string of his biggest hits, the 35-year-old paused to address the crowd and revealed that he may be stepping away from music for a while after the tour wraps up later this year.
“This is gonna be my last time here in a while,” Sheeran told concertgoers, the Daily Mail reported.
“I might take some time off once this tour has ended and sort of do the dad thing. So if I don’t see you for a while, I love you, thank you for coming.”
