Karol G is gearing up for her next tour, Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour.
On the red carpet at the American Music Awards, the Colombian singer revealed to Billboard what fans should expect.
“I always love [being] on tour, like I think that the stage is my happiest place in the world, and I always get really prepared about that,” she said. “I don’t take for granted like all the people [who are] going to be there. They do a lot of things, a lot of sacrifice to be there. So I’m really preparing a lot to give them everything.”
Karol announced her next trek during the second of her two historic Coachella headlining sets. This year, she became the first Latina to headline the festival, closing the event on April 12 and April 19. “Nos Vamos de Tour,” which translates to ‘we’re going on tour’ read the text on the festival screens while she performed her last song, “Provenza.”
Karol also dedicated her Coachalle performances to her Latin community.
“This is for my Latinos that have been struggling in this country lately. We stand for them, I stand for my Latino community, and at the same time, I’m very proud because this brings out the best of us: unity, resilience, a strong spirit,” she said on April 12.
“We want everyone to feel welcome to our culture, to our roots, to our music. So I just want everyone to feel proud of where you come from, please,” she added. “Don’t feel fear, feel proud.”
