Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has shared her thoughts on the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, particularly the keenly contested ‘Artiste of the Year’ category.
In a post shared on X on April 9, 2026, Wendy Shay expressed confidence in her chances of winning the coveted award.
According to her, she has put in enough work and is grateful to colleagues and other stakeholders who have supported and advocated for her.
“I know everyone is aware that this year’s TGMA Artiste of the Year is me. Thanks to Ghana, SHAYGANG, media personalities, and all the artistes showing me love and advocating for me to win,” she said.
Wendy Shay also called on the fan bases of artistes such as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and others to support her by voting.
“I urge fans of SM, Bhim Nation, Sark Nation, BYK, the Blacko Tribe, and every other fanbase to vote massively for me,” she added.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 9, 2026.
Meanwhile, Wendy Shay will compete against Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, and Sarkodie for the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award.
