Celine Dion announced additional six dates for her comeback concert season in Paris in September and October as pre-sales began on Tuesday due to strong demand.
The new concerts will take place on September 18 and 25 as well as October 2, 9, 16 and 17, in addition to the 10 previously announced shows at the at the 40,000-capacity Paris La Défense Arena.
The Paris shows, which were announced last week, mark Dion’s first major concert program since being forced to abandon her Courage World Tour in 2020 due to the pandemic followed by health struggles.
The announcement of the additional shows came just hours after pre-sales for registered fans began on Tuesday at 10am local time in Paris, with more than nine million registrations in total.
“Fans not selected for the artist pre-sale will be added to the waiting list or have another opportunity to purchase advance tickets during the Visa cardholder pre-sale,” said a release put out on behalf of concert producers AEG Productions.
The ‘Power of Love’ singer, who has been battling her way back to good health after being diagnosed with the rare neurological condition Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) in 2022, last gave a big solo concert in New York in the spring of 2020.
